Sydney’s Mardi Gras 2021 set to celebrate pride and community despite COVID-safe changes

The venue may be different, and the crowd might be further away, but marchers are still feeling the buzz ahead of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras organisers announced in November the event would go ahead despite COVID-19 restrictions, with Sydney Cricket Ground replacing Oxford Street.

This year, up to 23,000 spectators will be seated in SCG stands as marchers take to the pitch.
